Two New Zealand artists are embarking on a trip of a lifetime after being selected for artist residencies in Hong Kong and South Korea.
Aucklanders Fiona Amundsen and Eve Armstrong have been selected for the residencies by the Asia New Zealand Foundation.
They were selected out of 40 applicants and will have their airfares and daily stipends paid for by the foundation.
Amundsen will travel to Seoul on April 7 to begin a two-month stint at the National Art Studio of the Korean Museum of Contemporary Art.
Amundsen is a lecturer in art history and photography at AUT University in Auckland .
Armstrong will go to Hong Kong for a month where she will take part in workshops with other international artists.
She is a graduate from the Elam School of Fine Arts and a recipient of the Arts Foundation of New Zealand New Generation Award.
