It's not just woodchips that fly at the Henley Men's Shed.
Sheddie Dennis Johnson, who is also a sculptor, raised some eyebrows when he turned up last week with a partly-completed work entitled Kaea, Earth Mother.
Mr Johnson works in Oamaru stone which, while expensive, can be worked reasonably easily with the tools found in most workshops, including the Men's Shed.
Kaea depicts a fairly typical defiant teenager, hands tucked into her overalls and with attitude.
The work is ongoing, having been started some years ago.
