Arsonist attacks Levin property twice in two weeks

A property in Levin has been attacked by an arsonist twice in the last two weeks.

Police are now looking for a distinctive blue petrol container used to set fire to the Stuckey St house.

The petrol can was ignited and left next to the house in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The house suffered moderate damage and police said it was lucky no one was injured or killed.

Police said the same property was targeted on May 6.

A fire was lit next to a shed at the back of the property while the occupant of the house, who lives alone, was at home.
