A blaze that severely damaged an East Tamaki commercial building late last night was deliberately lit, the Fire Service believes.
Firefighters were called to the Cryers Rd building, understood to be the Auckland base of earthmoving and construction equipment suppliers RJ Stewart, just before 10. They found it well ablaze.
A Fire Service spokesman said initial evidence pointed to arson.
