An arson investigation has been launched after a suspicious fire at a suspected methamphetamine lab in the Auckland suburb of Waterview today.
Firefighters were called to a large blaze at the vacant 59 Herdman Rd property at 8.13 this morning.
The property was the target of a police search involving the armed offenders squad on October 19, when a 41-year-old occupant was arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
The police clan lab team also attended the search to collect evidence of methamphetamine manufacture.
The service's hazardous materials appliance was at the scene of this morning's fire.
