Two men have been arrested following an aggravated robbery at a Northland dairy in which a shop assistant had a long-barrelled gun pointed at her.
Police said the robbery occurred at the Hilltop Dairy on Awakino Road, Dargaville, on Tuesday August 11.
Cigarettes and cash were stolen after the offenders aimed a gun at the 49-year-old shop assistant.
Although the victim was not physically hurt in the incident, she was traumatised and had received support from Victim Support.
This morning, police armed offenders squad members and a team of other police staff searched a house near Dargaville, and arrested two local men, aged 21 and 27.
