Police have arrested a man following a string of burglaries in Hamilton overnight.
They were called to "several burglaries at multiple addresses" in the Hillcrest area, about 11.30pm.
The burglaries were around Berkley Normal Middle School and included the theft of property from homes and vehicles.
Following the incidents, police established a cordon in the area and in the early hours of this morning a man was found and arrested in relation to the burglaries.
Police say they believe there is a strong chance the man was responsible for other offending in the area.
