Two people have been arrested in Palmerston North over the supply of synthetic cannabis.
Senior Sergeant Steven Crawford said 46 small bags of synthetic cannabis, along with cash and drug preparation items, were found during a search of an address this morning.
A man and a woman were arrested at the address for various drug related offences. The woman, 45, will appear in Palmerston District Court on August 15.
Synthetic cannabis was blamed for the deaths of 10 people during July. Authorities are investigating what's being added to the latest batches of the drugs to make them so toxic.
"These substances are causing harm to our communities and it's important that we, as a community, work together to remove these products from our streets," Crawford said.
