Two men have been arrested after a south Otago woman was assaulted during a home invasion at Kaka Point on Sunday night.
The 65-year-old victim suffered facial injuries when the masked men entered her home about 6pm and assaulted her before running from the scene.
Police today said a 19-year-old Kaka Point man and a 33-year-old man from Inch Clutha had been arrested and were to appear in Dunedin District Court today.
Detective Sergeant Kate Bartlett of Balclutha police said the woman remained in a stable condition in Dunedin Hospital.
She said police appreciated information already received from members of the public, but were still keen to hear from anyone who might have information about the circumstances surrounding the home invasion.
