KEY POINTS:
Two arrests have been made after a ramraid on a Wellington clothing store - thanks to video camera footage.
A camera captured the daring ramraid by a white Mitsubishi van on the Rip Curl Store on Willis Street overnight Monday when thousands of dollars of clothing were stolen.
Police at the central police station around the corner in Victoria Street raced to the scene after the alarm went off but the thieves had fled.
Police said that they had received many calls from people who saw the video replayed on TV and media websites and recognised the robbers.
The van was recovered from Newlands and two men were arrested in Lower Hutt on Wednesday.
Further arrests were expected.
