"Further inquiries need to be made into that one to determine exactly what happened and how it happened," Mr Sutton said.
A man was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
The other incident took place on Sunday between 1-2am on Church St. Mr Sutton said a 19-year-old Masterton man and a woman got into an argument while walking along the footpath. The dispute started with some pushing. "She has run away, he's chased her and managed to pick her up and then drop her to the ground, then kicked her four or five times to the body," he said. The kicking was described more as tapping rather than a full force kick.
"She has managed to get away and has gone to her father's address. He was located and admitted his role in that and he will be going to court to get some help with his alcohol consumption and anger issues."
