Two men have been arrested following an incident where shots were fired and a vehicle rammed in the Coromandel this afternoon.
Waikato Armed Offenders Squad members went to Kennedy Bay, 15 kilometres north-east of Coromandel Town, and police confirmed a firearm was fired in the air and a ute was used to ram a parked car.
A 27 year-old man has been charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm and will appear in Hamilton District Court tomorrow, a police spokesman said.
A second man, aged 29, has been charged with wilful damage. Police were not seeking anyone else, he said.
