Eight people have been arrested over a ram-raid at a Hamilton dairy. Seven men and one woman were arrested after a car deliberately smashed into the Queenwood Dairy, in suburban northeast Hamilton, early on Saturday morning.
The thieves caused about $14,000 damage to the store but only stole about $100 worth of cigars, the Waikato Times reported.
Three of the eight - aged 16, 22 and 23 - were charged with burglary and unlawfully taking a vehicle.
