Arrests after police chase stolen car

Two men and a 14-year-old boy were arrested after police used road spikes to stop a stolen car near Rotorua this morning.

A Subaru stationwagon stolen from Auckland, failed to stop for police at Te Puke about 9.10am, Police said.

Police pursued it along State Highway 33 before road spikes were deployed and the vehicle stopped about 9.30am.

Three people will appear in Rotorua District Court tomorrow.
