The 26-year-old from Mt Albert will appear in the Auckland District Court today.
On Friday, a 14-year-old Western Springs College student was forced into a car but escaped when it slowed at an intersection.
Two hours earlier, a man had approached a 17-year-old from the college and said he would shoot her if she did not get into his car. She screamed and ran off.
Police spokesman Inspector Barry Smalley last night thanked the public, police colleagues and the media for their support during the investigation.
