KEY POINTS:
A woman will appear in Palmerston North District Court tomorrow on charges related to the stabbing of a 34-year-old man the city last night.
Police said the incident was domestic and no one else was being sought.
The man was stabbed several times and though his condition is stable he is expected to remain in hospital for some time.
He is likely to undergo surgery.
Detective Sergeant David Clifford said police arrested a 37-year-old woman this afternoon and she has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The stabbing took place at a central city property.
Police were alerted about 8pm, when they were called to Palmerston North Hospital, Mr Clifford said.
