A 68-year-old man has been arrested over an assault in which a teenage girl was grabbed on her way to school.
The incident happened at around 8.20am yesterday on Norwich St, Nelson.
The man was due to appear in Nelson District Court next Monday charged with assaulting a child, police said.
Anyone whose children have been approached by a male or have noticed suspicious behaviour in the Norwich St area over the last week are asked to contact Nelson police on 03 546 3840.
