A woman has been arrested following a stabbing in Opotiki this morning.
Police were called to what they have described as a "family harm related incident" at an Opotiki home around 3am.
A 25-year-old man was allegedly stabbed a number of times with a knife. He was taken to Whakatane Hospital where he was treated for multiple stab wounds and remains in a stable condition.
Police say a 25-year-old female has been arrested and charged with Wounding with Intent to Cause Grievous Bodily Harm.
Further investigations are ongoing.
