Armed police locked down a Queenstown primary school this afternoon, as they hunted for a man they believed was armed.
A spokeswoman for Remarkables Primary School said the school was locked down at 12:25pm for five minutes as instructed by police.
All students were secured in classrooms as per standard school lockdown procedures.
The incident was over and things had returned to normal at the school, the spokeswoman said in a statement.
Police said they were called to a domestic incident about noon, after a 20-year-old male left a Frankton address believed to be in possession of a weapon.
