Arrest after Napier AOS call-out

A firearm-wielding man has been arrested after an armed offenders squad call-out in Napier today.

Police were called after a witness reported seeing a man with a firearm on a property on Trinity Crescent, in the suburb of Pirimai, police spokeswoman Kris McGeehan said.

Parts of the street were cordoned off until the 25-year-old man was arrested.
