KEY POINTS:
Police arrested a 57-year-old Khandallah man last night after he threatened to blow up his partner's house.
A police spokesman said the man would appear in Wellington District Court today facing charges of criminal nuisance and attempted arson.
Police were called around 9.30pm after the man made threats to blow up his partner's house using gas from the oven and LPG barbecue containers.
