Ten army engineers will depart tomorrow for Antarctica to carry out maintenance tasks at the New Zealand and United States bases for the next 10 weeks.
Their tasks include constructing outdoor weather shelters, installing new hangar doors and assisting with the New Zealand wind farm project - all in thick snow and sub-zero temperatures.
