He played down his abilities to shave, type, ignite a lighter and even make paper planes using just his feet.
"I just do things in my own way. Like people always say 'Oh you're so amazing' and all that sort of random, miscellaneous, blow-smoke-up-arse sort of stuff, but it's just me doing things ... the way I've learned how to adapt to every situation."
Mr Smithyman, who goes by the YouTube handle Wingless, said he wanted feedback from the public on what content to post and he hoped interested people would enjoy his videos.
His lighter display, uploaded this month, and an earlier shaving demonstration, featured in several popular overseas websites and newspapers including The New York Post, Scotland's Daily Record, and London's Metro newspaper.
His little toes held and braced the lighter and his big toe ignited it.
He said his brother encouraged him to make a YouTube channel demonstrating how he did "everyday stuff".
Mr Smithyman responded to some requests, such as a YouTube user who wanted to see him type.
He said he cooked well and also played video games.
Mr Smithyman said he didn't currently drive but planned to start soon.
"I was always raised to just use normal stuff and adapt, I have no problem with people who find an easy way out when they are disabled, as it can get tough sometimes, but it's just not my way," he added.
