A field of 100 wooden crosses will be unveiled to mark the anniversary of the end of World War I.
Memorial services for Armistice Day - which marks the end of the "war to end all wars" with the signing of the Armistice at 11am on November 11, 1918 - will be held throughout the country tomorrow.
In Kapiti, a Field of Remembrance will be unveiled with a blessing at 10.30am.
The field - made up of 100 wooden crosses, symbolising the Kapiti soldiers who died in the war - will remain in place until the centenary of Armistice Day in 2018.
A national Armistice Day commemoration will be held at the Hall of Memories at Pukeahu National War Memorial Park, Wellington, from 11am.
