Armed youths clash

NELSON: A teenager was badly injured after a violent clash between two groups of armed youths in the city centre early yesterday morning.

The youth was taken to hospital after suffering a broken knee and a suspected broken jaw after being attacked with a metal bar.

Police were investigating whether the assault was racially motivated.
