Armed police and an ambulance are at the Filthy Few Motorcycle Club headquarters in Tauranga.
A reporter at the scene said a member of the Armed Offenders Squad and a uniformed officer were guarding the entrance to the club while at least six police cars, two police command units and an ambulance were parked in the street.
Detectives, a police photographer and scene of crime officers were also at the scene.
Traffic was banked up along Birch Ave.
Inspector Karl Wright-St Clair said police searched the property at 3pm under the Sale of Liquor Act and had seized a large quantity of alcohol they believed was to be illegally sold.
