KEY POINTS:
Police have carried out a raid on a house in Northland in their search for Richard Alan Duthie, who allegedly shot at police in Auckland a fortnight ago.
A police spokesman said police carried out a raid at 6am today in the Bay of Islands.
Police were speaking to a number of occupants at a Haruru Falls address.
"He was not found at the address and is still being sought by police," a police spokeswoman said.
"Duthie is still believed to be in Northland and police are asking members of the public to be alert and call police immediately if they have any information or sightings."
Duthie, 40, is alleged to have shot at police in the Auckland suburb of Swanson on September 3 after a routine stop.
He had been wanted since May for failing to appear in Rotorua High Court on drugs charges.
Duthie is a Caucasian of medium to solid build, 175cm tall, with sandy-coloured hair and a mole on the right side of his nose.
