Armed police today descended on the Wellington suburb of Khandallah as part of an operation to find “a person of interest”.
“Police are in the Mandalay Terrace area making inquiries to locate a person of interest - the Armed Offenders Squad is assisting as a precaution,” police said in a statement.
Police later said the operation had finished without the person being found, so efforts to locate them would continue.
