The armed offenders squad helped police carry out a drug search in the Coromandel early today.
Police raided a Whangamata house after cordoning off the area, Detective Sergeant Rod Carpenter said.
A search of the premises was continuing.
Police were grateful for residents' cooperation and conscious of disruptions the raid caused, he said.
"These types of operations are necessary as police seek to negate the damaging impact of drugs which are impacting not just in our large metropolitan areas but in smaller Waikato communities as well."
The raid came a week after a Cambridge man was arrested when police searched his flat in the CBD, finding a P lab.
