Armed police have been stood down after reports of a group fighting with golf clubs in the street in Dunedin.
The armed offenders squad was called to an address in lower Mornington after reports of four to five people fighting in the street about 2pm today, police said.
An area around Neidpath Rd and Cochrane St was cordoned off and police asked members of the public to avoid the area.
Police later said the cordon had been lifted.
The callout was "related to a domestic incident" and a firearm was not believed to be involved, police said.
