Armed police are at the scene of a robbery in central Christchurch.
A police spokeswoman said police received a 111 emergency call shortly after 11am.
She said there were reports of an armed man at the Worcester Tavern.
The spokeswoman said cordons at the area had been lifted and police were speaking to witnesses.
