A Hamilton man is facing firearms, drugs and threat to kill charges after a domestic incident last night.
The 24-year-old man surrendered to armed police who surrounded the Fairview Downs property in Hamilton east following reports of a domestic dispute about 8.30pm.
"When it was established one of the parties had access to firearms the support of the Waikato armed offenders squad was sought and a number of cordons established," Waikato police operations manager, Inspector John Kelly said.
The man would appear in Hamilton District Court today, Mr Kelly said.
