Whangarei police are appealing for witnesses following the armed robbery of a supermarket on Saturday night.
Three men, wearing masks and brandishing firearms and a knife entered the Countdown supermarket in the suburb of Tikipunga about 10pm as staff were closing, said Northland police communications officer Sarah Kennett.
The offenders demanded money and then left carrying an unspecified amount of cash, she said.
The staff were shaken but unhurt.
A blue 1994 Honda Rafaga, found nearby, was used by the offenders and is believed to have been stolen from Kamo prior to the robbery.
