A couple suffered minor injuries when armed intruders wearing disguises burst into their West Coast home last night.
The armed men entered the house at Fox River about 9.30pm and detained the couple who lived there, police said.
The intruders remained at the property for some time before leaving in a vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Gavin Nichols of Greymouth police said the victims, who were very shaken, were treated for minor injuries.
The incident took place on a main road property on State Highway 6, north of the Fox River Bridge.
