Armed fugitive caught

A man believed to be armed with several weapons has surrendered to police in Morrinsville.

Waikato police earlier said a warrant had been issued for the arrest of Mark Message, 44, and anyone seeing him should call police but not approach him.

Sergeant Phil Caldwell from the Paeroa police said there was a warrant out for his arrest relating to the assault and threatening of a woman and child.
