Nomadic Resorts has developed the latest in eco-luxury: Nomadic tents that can be popped up and removed without any impact on the surrounding environment.
Their first design is the 45 metre squared, caterpillar-shaped 'Looper,' a luxury, movable pod with a light environmental footprint. It uses efficient LED lighting and incorporates a rainwater harvesting tank, solar water heater and a constructed wetland sewage treatment system.
Each pod also contains:
A fully functioning en-suite bathroom
A generous changing room
Desk area with wireless internet
A lounge which can be opened and closed at the mere press of a button
Air-conditioned sleeping area.
"The idea is that the pods can be placed in a variety of breath-taking environments; placed on rafts as part of a floating villa on a lake, mounted up on stilts to create the ultimate tree house or perched atop a cliff overlooking the ocean," says a Nomadic Resorts spokesperson.
Nomadic Resorts is an innovative ecological design cooperative, featuring an architect, a tent technician, an interior designer and an engineer. For more information on the group see http://www.nomadicresorts.com
