Produce exporter Turners and Growers is donating a container-load of New Zealand apples to Chinese children orphaned by the massive May earthquake.
Turners and Growers subsidiary Enza International is giving the apples to orphans in the earthquake-ravaged province of Sichuan.
The death toll in southwest China from the May 12 quake is thought to be more than 80,000, leaving at least 4000 orphans, according to Xinhua news agency.
