Police have renewed calls for information on the killing of Manawatu farmer Scott Guy, four weeks after he was found shot dead at his Feilding home.
Thirty-seven police officers around the country are working full-time on the investigation after Mr Guy, 31, was found dead in his driveway on Aorangi Rd, south of Feilding, on July 8.
A firearm has not yet been found and police are still seeking information on two vehicles seen in the area and three Labrador puppies which went missing from the property.
"Police still believe that someone in the local community holds the key and it may be the smallest piece of information that brings a conclusion to this investigation," said Detective Inspector Sue Schwalger.
Police have had great support from the community but needed that support to continue, she said.
"I also appeal to the consciences of anyone out there who believes they know who is responsible for this murder, or has information that may be linked to this investigation.
"Scott's family desperately want answers; they need to know why Scott was killed."
Police still want to hear from anyone with information about three chocolate labrador puppies missing from Scott Guy's property. The puppies were born on May 25.
Two vehicles were seen travelling separately along Aorangi Road towards Campbell Road between 4.30am and 5am on the morning of the shooting and police wanted to hear from anyone who knew about the vehicles or the drivers.
In the search for the shotgun used to kill Mr Guy police appealed for information about thefts of firearms and ammunition since January 2009 in and around the Feilding area.
Information would be treated in confidence, Ms Schwalger said.
