KEY POINTS:
A woman jailed for killing two teenagers in a car crash while under the influence of methamphetamine has had her appeal against the length of her minimum jail time dismissed by the Court of Appeal.
Leah Wai Peneha, of Napier, was jailed for six years six months on two charges of manslaughter and two charges of dangerous driving causing death last August, with a minimum non-parole period of four years.
She was also disqualified from driving for eight years.
In September 2005 Peneha's car crossed the centre line on State Highway 2 near Upper Hutt, continuing on the wrong side of the road for 300m before colliding with a car and killing Krystal Bennett and Khan Edwards.
