Police are appealing for information after a west Auckland woman was raped in her home over the weekend.
The 45-year-old woman was raped by a "tall, light-skinned" man in her suburban New Lynn home between 3am and 5am on Saturday, Waitakere CIB Detective Sergeant Peter Litherland said.
The man had been walking around Tahi Terrace, Rua and Fruitvale Roads and could live in the area, he said.
He was wearing a light-coloured t-shirt and shorts.
Mr Litherland said he was "very concerned" and anyone with information about the man should contact police immediately.
