AOS callout in Lower Hutt

The Armed Offenders Squad is dealing with an incident in the Naenae suburb of Lower Hutt.

Police have responded to a domestic incident on Naenae Rd, where one of the parties is believed to have access to a firearm.

Inspector Steve Darroch says the area has been cordoned off but no homes have been evacuated at this point. Traffic is being diverted away from the area.
