Christchurch police have arrested a man on multiple outstanding warrants following an armed offenders callout in the city today.

The armed offenders squad searched a property in Barbadoes Street, Edgeware, at 10am, looking for a man in connection with a series of incidents in Christchurch over the past three weeks.

A 34-year-old unemployed man was found, arrested and charged with three charges of aggravated robbery, one kidnapping charge and one charge of using an airgun.

He will appear at Christchurch District Court tomorrow.
