Justice Christine French has reserved her decision until Monday on the bid by Christchurch's Aorangi School to head off its closure early next year.
After two days of legal argument in the High Court at Christchurch, the hearing ended this afternoon with Justice French saying she would try to deliver her judgment at 10am on Monday, Christchurch's Court News website reported.
The school has sought the judicial review to challenge the decision by the Minister of Education, Anne Tolley, that the school - which has a role of 88 primary age children at its Bryndwr site - will close on January 27.
The school's defence team was critical of the consultation process that the Ministry of Education went through prior to the closure decision, but the ministry's lawyers defended it.
Justice French complimented the parties and the lawyers, saying the application had been well argued.
