The ANZ Bank yesterday denied making misleading statements about the costs of using its credit cards for foreign exchange transactions.
The bank is one of eight financial institutions being prosecuted by the Commerce Commission under the Fair Trading Act.
In the Auckland District Court yesterday, ANZ entered not guilty pleas to 74 charges.
No plea was entered by National Bank, which has amalgamated with ANZ, on 160 charges. Both banks are to appear again in June.
