Staff at ANZ National Bank yesterday rejected the bank's latest employment offer and will take further industrial action tomorrow.
The offer will deny compensation to many staff for working nights and weekends, which would put the bank's New Zealand staff on lesser terms and conditions than their counterparts in Australia, union Finsec said.
"We don't want to strike, and we know it causes problems for our customers. It's just that weekends are the time we get to spend with our family and kids," a union spokeswoman said.
