Another meeting is being held tonight to discuss Transpower's $500 million proposed pylon project.
Landowners learn on Saturday which route Transpower has decided on for the 400kV link between Whakamaru and Otahuhu but opponents in the South Waikato community are determine to fight the issue.
Christina Baldwin from the group New Era Energy says they will oppose Transpower to the bitter end.
Electricity Commissioner Roy Hemmingway has until the middle of next year to decide whether to approve or decline the project.
He has published a draft document, outlining potential generation alternatives, including power stations fired with natural gas or coal, hydro and renewable resources.
Transpower wants to have the transmission project up and running by 2010.
