Seventy two per cent of New Zealanders consider that Asians are subject to "a great deal" or "some" discrimination, according to research conducted for the Human Rights Commission for Race Relations Day today.
The survey, by UMR Research, indicated a slight reduction in perceived discrimination from the previous survey in 2004, when 78 per cent of people believed that people of Asian background were unfairly treated.
