Ansett has promised to fix problems with its fare system after some children flying unaccompanied were mistakenly charged adult prices.
Customers said travel agents had told them the airline had started to charge adult fares for children flying unaccompanied.
Ansett spokesman John Cordery said the airline mistakenly changed the price of tickets for children flying alone when it altered another class of fares 10 days ago.
The airline has promised the fares will revert to the original 50 per cent of an adult fare, provided there are seats available at that price.
