KEY POINTS:
Another teacher has been assaulted at Cambridge Middle School, just two days after a student assaulted two teachers and a female student.
Yesterday, a 48-year-old teacher was assaulted by a 12-year-old male student she was trying to discipline, Sergeant Gordon Grantham said.
"He became abusive, using obscene language towards her."
The teacher asked the student to leave the school grounds.
She was standing in the doorway and he pushed her, forcing his way into the classroom.
"As he passed the teacher he has punched her on the right side of her face with a closed fist causing her head to collide with the door to the room," Mr Grantham said.
The teacher had a swollen cheek, bruised eye and bleeding nose.
The student was later heard on the school bus bragging about the incident.
On Tuesday, one student was approached by another who had been swearing at her and then allegedly slapped and kicked the victim.
As two teachers tried to separate the students, they were slapped and one was punched.
Police are investigating both incidents.
Also this week, a 15-year-old girl was taken to Waikato Hospital after being set upon by a trio of students at Hamilton Girls' High School.
