A range of events at the Auckland Harbour Festival on and off the water. It is day three of the Auckland Match Racing Cup, which you can watch free from the Westhaven Marina Vantage Point. There will be about 25 races between 10am and 4pm. There are three-hour tall ship day sailings on the Waitemata Harbour. Ships leave at 9am and 1pm from Viaduct Harbour. Tickets at $50-$200 available from Ticketmaster. There is also tall ship racing. Ships leave from Viaduct Harbour at 2pm. Tickets $125 from Ticketmaster.
Anniversary Weekend Comedy Special at The Classic Comedy and Bar on Queen St. Door sales $10.

Saturday, January 28

There is a Funfair at the Eastern Viaduct from 10am to 9pm. Rides cost $2 to $5. There is also a tall ships display at Viaduct Harbour from 10am until 5.30pm. And there is free Street Theatre at Hobson Wharf from 10am to 9pm.

Stockcar Speedway Racing at Waikaraka Speedway in Onehunga at 7pm. Adults $15, children $6, and a family pass is $40. Tickets at the gate.

Tickets are $41.50 from Ticketmaster. A Fireworks show will follow.

Monday, January 30Auckland Harbour Festival, including the New Zealand Herald Auckland Anniversary Regatta on the Waitemata and Manukau Harbours. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster for places on the Spirit of New Zealand, Soren Larsen or the Windeward Bound and are $125 or you can just go along and watch for nothing. The regatta lasts from 9.30am till 3pm. A Funfair at Princes Wharf will start at 10am and go through till 9pm. Costs for rides vary from $2 to $5. The free Symphony on the Sea concert starts at 1pm featuring the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra on Te Wero Island.
The Edge Jam in the Park at Coyle Park in Pt Chevalier. The free concert is part of the Music in Parks series and features Good Night Nurse and Nesian Mystik and goes from 2pm till 6pm.
